If I can sell a couple of razors I'm looking to buy a Pietta steel frame .44 cal. 1851 Colt Navy revolver. I have a pound of 3F Triple 7 I can't wait to burn up in it.
I had a .36 cal. 1851 Colt Navy replica back in the 70's but the trigger spring broke which I hear is common with that type revolver. Back then I couldn't find a replacement spring so I got rid of it. Today the springs are very easy to find, my old Navy isn't so it's time for new.Last edited by DoughBoy68; 10-30-2020 at 06:19 PM.

I don't have that gun anymore, got rid of it when I couldn't find a spring. I really enjoyed shooting it and it was dead on accurate.

Well, around the first of the year I finally acquired enough money to buy the pistol I was wanting, an 1851 Navy revolver. I opted for the .44 cal. which is not period correct instead of the .36 cal. but I was not going for period correct, I wanted something with some kick. Been having a blast shooting it, got several bulls-eyes on paper and killed a lot of 1 gal. and 2 lt. jugs. After showing my brother pics of some of the targets he started calling me 'Wild Bruce Hickok'............
