    Here we also have deer flies and horse flies. Those rotten little buggers take chunks.

    Ugh! I forgot all about those terrible flies! Deer fly and horse fly..
    I haven't seen any yet in SC so I should be grateful.

    Well I thought I'd look up big mosquitoes since I was in Florida recently and was surprised at the size.
    These birds attack! Even a strong breeze doesn't help.

    They must have flown down from British Columbia--when I honeymooned there many years ago we camped at this one place and the frigging things bit me through not only a long sleeved shirt but the T-shirt underneath.

    Horse flies are terrible. They're hardly around here but 30 miles from here at the beach in Galveston is where they hang out for some reason. That may be where they somehow mated with the shark!
