Just finished watching "Hostiles" on Netflix. Wow. What a great gritty Western. And Christian Bale kind of blew me away in his role as an Army Captain who was a former Indian fighter now assigned to a "special role" that forms the plot of the movie. This movie is not for the squeamish. It depicts a very bloody and hard life on the Western frontier. But for my money, I enjoyed it very much.

My wife and I binge watched Hostiles last week. I agree that it is a remarkable performance by Christian Bale who has shown himself to be a very versatile actor. The show had several extremely strong characters among which Rosamund Pike played a very gritty pioneer woman.
