I am not feeling the need to go out heeled yet (unless you count the expired can of bear spray and survival knife I keep in my truck lol!). At some point back when I used to carry, I decided I didn't like the mental state it put me in, and it's an enormous responsibility as you guys know, but everybody has to make their own decision on that.
I suspect that the new curfews and lock-downs in more and more cities and states is about people control as much as it is about CV control. When some of these shuttered businesses start getting looted in desperate areas, things could get much more tense nationwide very quickly. For now, my feeling is that it's best to go out in daytime, and don't look like a victim.
That said, I just took our dog out for her Saturday ride to run some errands, and everyone seemed pretty calm about things. There are many roads to sharp.

I subscribe to the caution and observation side of this. Sure, something is always handy but I hate to pull-out the big stuff unless it seems to nearing a necessity.
Locking and loading in a situation brings a sense of paranoia in my case at least. Keeps thoughts away from where they should be.
Being organised in this regard pays-off for me. Locking and loading was done long ago, pretty close at hand.
I don't worry about it and won't until I have to. Eyes open, carry-on. Have faith..

OK guys just a reminder.
Discussions of gun carry is a verboten topic on this site.
You can talk about "guns in general" all you want but when you start with carry and guns all over the house and "being ready" the line has been crossed. No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

I carry a gun because a cop is too heavy.
