Today's the day, Moderna shot a 15:15, nervous doesn't describe how I'm feeling adequately.
I'm doing it for some peace and quiet at home but I'm not entirely comfortable about it. To be entirely honest, I'm not really sure if it's the vaccine that concerns me the most or the needle. I have 8 tattoos but I'm still terrified of injections, weird eh?- - Steve

Have fun watching very nervous people standing in the line.

When I went everyone was very happy and celebrating. I said to a women in line beside me "Have you ever wanted a shot so bad in your life?"
I was too young to realize it, but I'm told that that's how our parents felt about the Polio vaccine.

Thanked: 557When I was in line, the folks did not seem nervous at all. They seemed relieved to be getting their shots.
The volunteers and health care workers staffing the vaccination site were incredibly well organized. The line moved very quickly with no backlog. The longest time spent in one place was the time they made us sit and wait to see if we were going to have an allergic reaction.
Nobody was rushed. Nobody was upset. Everyone who left looked as if a weight had been lifted from their shoulders.David

Yes Weird, unfortunately my wife thinks much the same as you, she has a couple more Tattoos then you, but you say "Shot" to her and she recoils from it
Doesn't trust the Flu vax or this one...
I was hoping to get her on board with the J&J but that is pretty much a closed door now.."No amount of money spent on a Stone can ever replace the value of the time it takes learning to use it properly"

Actually in Windsor Essex SW Ontario where I live, the choice is not mine.
Masks are mandatory here and I can't enter a store or public building without one.
I suppose I could refuse to wear one on the grounds that I'm vaccinated but I have no doubt that I would get arrested.
Are they are a bit more laid back in the Niagara area?- - Steve

Thanked: 3228I do not consider the mandatory wearing of face masks as an assault on my freedom of choice as it is there to help protect others from being infected by a deadly disease and if they also wear a face mask it helps protect me too. Your right to freedom from wearing a mask stops when it infringes on mine and others right to life.
Even after you have been fully vaccinate you should continue to wear a face mask as you can still get infected and spread it to others even though you yourself may feel no symptoms, asymptomatic. I have not seen anyone wearing a face mask during regular flu season because, so far, there is herd immunity from that in Canada due to free yearly flu vaccines being available. Until herd immunity is reached against Covid 19 the wearing of face masks is a good practice.
I think we all have used a public washroom and observed people leaving without washing their hands. No, I do not trust people to follow even the most basic health and safety precautions. Not everyone is a responsible individual.
