My experience with the Pfizer vaccine was exactly the same as bluesman7 describes.

My wife got the 2-shot Moderna vaccine routine, with nothing more than a sore injection site.

My brother got the J&J one-shot, and only had minor arm soreness for a couple of days.

Rumor has it that a bunch of equine doctors have volunteered to give the shots and are bring their own equipment!
If they bring their own needles it will be like taking core samples.

    A horse needle. Ouch.

I got the Pfizer, just sore arm and mild headache similar to what I get if I don't drink coffee first thing in the morning.
My dad got his first dose on Saturday in Greece and the day after he had flu like symptoms. Didn't last long, less than a day.

With so many people getting vaccinated we should be seeing herd immunity soon.

I wish. We are not even close in Canada and have a very long way to go to get that.

Herd immunity here might never come since so many refuse to get the shot. Of course unless the no shotters get it and die off.

Herd immunity will develop but also will the virus. Who wins the virus or the herd? I feel the shot will have to continue to develop similar to annual flu shot.

My question to you is how many of the so called "no shotters" actually die but develop their own immunity without the shot?

MiL Got her second Phizer and off to the ER the next day

Stayed in ICU until the following day when they finally shrugged and let her leave after her Heart finally stopped going into D-fib

You just never know how you may react to something. Maybe the one in a million. I still have a nagging cough from that flu shot in November. My Mon could take a single aspirin and be deathly ill from it.

Anyone who got covid has immunity though how long it lasts and how well it works with variants is an open question.

I have no doubt this thing will be with us for a very long time and require maybe more than yearly shots and we may see periodic pandemics.
