Historically speaking no vaccine is 100% effective against any disease. Some come really close and some not so close but folks forget the real reason to get any vaccination. If you do contract the bug you won't wind up in a hospital or die and just be inconvenienced for a few days.

Thanked: 3228By this point in the pandemic anyone who thinks the Covid 19 vaccine is 100% effective or is a cure for the infection has not interpreted correctly what has been said by reliable sources about the vaccine.

Was not a good night for the wife. Luckly she has nothing to do today as the fever and shakes kept her up most of the night. She says her arm feels like she got hit by a baseball bat. Im headed to work as she said she will be ok with some time.

I ended up having to come home. I got some Asprin down her and got her to sleep. After a couple of hours, she is feeling a little better so no need for a run to the hospital or anything. I dought they would have done much for her besides a check-up. I had a feeling this might happen. As you all know she has been through hell and back, twice in the last couple of years with medical issues. I hope I won't have as bad of a reaction but I will plan for it so when the day comes I will be ready.

Thanked: 3228Under the heading of don't you know it's all been changed. Looks like there is a change of mind regarding what age groups will be getting the AZ Vaccine in Canada. This is a result of worries over blood clots. It will be restricted for use to those 55 and older.

Thanked: 369The general safety and effectiveness for all four vaccines is still under investigation. The FDA, in the United States, still has not approved, nor licensed, any of the Covid-19 vaccines for general use. The only approval is through an emergency use authorization that is based on currently known information, which could change over time. Phase three trials may go on for another two years.

Thanked: 3228Instead of waiting for all phases to be completed before review and approval Canada did a rolling approval. As each stage was completed and submitted it was reviewed shortening the time needed to gain final approval. Even after final approval ongoing data is reviewed and recommendations changed as needed. The last is the reason for the change in the recommendations on the AZ vaccine. These types of changes happen even after the non rolling approval process.
