The war could have been ended and could be ended by the EU and the US not buying any products from any country that does business with Russia. It only took 10 years for them to stop buying energy from russia? What is allowed will continue. This could have been dealt with easier in 2014 imo.

Money talks. BS walks. The biggest problem I see is politicians, especially career politicians. We all know the old joke: how can you tell if a politician is lying?...I don't even have to finish that. And the main problem with politicians is that they are mostly all lawyers. No offense to any lawyers out there but...I mean, c'mon, they know it too, any of them that are honest...if that exists. People often say, well they don't go into politics for the money because most lawyers take a pay cut to go into politics. The dirty little secret is, if you have power, you don't need money.

I think that is also what gives rise to all the Trump hatred. He is not a lawyer and as such he doesn't talk the sweet lies we are all used to hearing from smooth talking politicians. He talks like a business man and a CEO. Politicians who are sweet on the outside and rotten to the core on the inside tell you exactly what you want to hear. Then they go out and sell you down the river. Trump doesn't stop and take a poll to see how to spin it before every time he opens his mouth. I might not like him if I knew him personally but then I don't have to like him. I just want him to do his job amd not BS me.

Why this matters should be obvious but maybe it's not. Wars are tragic for civilians and soldiers but they can be big money makers for some contractors and big power generators for some politicians. As disgusting as it is I have no doubt this has been drawn out for reasons of power and money. Once again, follow the money and you find the answer.

Before the election didn't Trump say he'd end the war in hours? What happened? Now his crew are talking of just washing their hands of the whole thing and I guess leave Ukraine to the wolves.

Like a little kid losing the game and just picking up the game and walking away with it.

Har har, you drank the cool aid alright. Trump a businessman? Trump specializes in extracting money from failed projects leaving his investors to take it in the shorts. Ask yourself why no bank in the US will loan his organization money. Really look at his business record and the failed chain of one business after another going bankrupt. If his family hadn't bailed him out years ago we wouldn't be having this discussion now. Do some research, this is all public record. The guy is just a very good Con man.

Just talk to someone who comes from NYC and lived there back in the 60s and 70s and they will give you an earful about Trump.

For the first year the world stood with Ukraine, there were little mummers of the truth coming out, but they were stifled quickly with words of "Putin Puppet" etc: Now those mummers are loud and not silenced so easily..
I think most of the world still stands with the PEOPLE of Ukraine, but the Zelensky Show pretty much came to an end when he ran into the Big Orange Godzilla in the Oval office.. He ran to the EU and cried but was rebuffed and told without the US$$$ and our military might, it was all but over..

Zelensky needs to do right by his people, Putin blinked today with his Easter Ceasefire proposal, it is an opening that should be exploited to stop the bullets..

Ukraine can't "Win" especially without Trump, even with Trump it just perpetuates the meat grinder which I don't think Trump will allow..

Time to face the reality, this is over

From an outsider's view, I saw an insurrection encouraged by Rump. It is something I would expect happening in a third world country but not in a stable democracy like the US. To say otherwise is like urinating on my boots and telling me it is raining.
