Thanked: 3226Yeas, pretty sure you are right that it is a moot point now. Don't worry though, I am pretty sure Putin will give us other opportunities to test the West's will to go to war with him. The only other slim hope would be that Russia itself will replace Putin in the future.

I have started an international petition on Change.org to support Ukraine's reconstruction after the war.
Would you please sign and spread the petition among friends and family?

Like I said a while back, if any superpower decides to invader another, weaker country there isn't much the world can do to stop them. It's no different if China invades taiwan. What if we invaded Canada?
Talk is cheap. When you say we'll confront Putin now and deal with him you are gambling with a very heavy bet. If you are wrong you lose everything. If you be right you win it all.
Are you willing to make that bet and maybe wipe out billions of folks? Being a survivalist won't help when a nuclear winter comes and nothing will grow and game dies out unless you gonna eat bugs.
The world is going to have to come up with another way to deal with guys like Putin. The problem is when it comes down to it the world will not truly come together. They only do it on the surface.
Oh, and by the way the U.S fought WWll and The Civil War and The Korean war and the Vietnam war with conscripts and we did fine. Vietnam was a cluster because of our leadership. No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

I don't think we should invade Russia, that would quite likely start the nukes flying but, I do think we should kick him out of Ukraine and back to Russia.
You make a good point about China.
Why are we all so upset about Ukraine, is it because we love Ukrainians or that we hate Russia. Could it be because Ukraine is Europe. I do think it's terrible what Ukraine is going through and would love to see NATO kick Putin's ass home to Russia but I can't help wondering how we as a world will react if China does to Taiwan what Putin is doing to Ukraine.
I don't think the word will react nearly as strongly because
a) it's far away and a lot of us don't understand the situation in the Far East
b) Getting into it with China is more scary than with Russia
The Bible doesn't say Russia will end the world, but I believe it say's the yellow hoards will.- - Steve

Thanked: 1324510 million Ukraine children displaced from their homes
40% of the worlds wheat production stopped
Have no fear, Western Leaders are applying more sanctions taking bank accounts and mega yachts
Hey at least we are giving the Ukrainians weapons to fight with, they seem to know how to use them
Now before you think I am a warhawk, I do NOT think we should put boots on the ground or our pilots in the air
I also have serious questions about certain aspects of what has been going on in Ukraine over the last 30 years..
We should give them all the aid they need to Fight and also Humanitarian aid
To bad the US had 2+ Million illegals invade across our Southern border in the last year, we could have used some of the money we used on that, to help Ukraine ...Last edited by gssixgun; 03-24-2022 at 08:20 PM.
