I wish I could Bob. I am repeating what someone told me, I probably shouldn't have.
But I'm not walking back my post completely, this link might be worth a read.

Thanked: 3223Well, you don't have to walk back your post completely. I just don't see religion as being germane to China and possible future issue we may have with them.
The only other thing I could take issue with is that NATO should get directly involved in Ukraine. It is outside of their mandate so any Western involvement directly against Russia in Ukraine would have to be done under a coalition of a different name. Hopefully it would include other countries than just NATO ones.

No, I never said we should sit idly by and do nothing. We are doing plenty and will continue to do so. There is a population of people in the U.S who would like us to set a no fly zone or put boots on the ground or get directly involved. They just KNOW Putin will back down and run away.
I was talking from a theoretical viewpoint that a superpower can pretty much do what they want and aside from starting WW lll what can the world do other than we are doing with Russia right now?

How many people have crossed into Poland and Hungary and Moldova from Ukraine? Millions I reckon. The only thing making them illegal on legal is the borders have been opened to them. How many refugees have crossed from Africa into Europe? Hundreds of thousands I imagine, maybe more.
Refugees are a fact of life throughout the world like it or not.
Mexico is our problem and over the decades the numbers have waxed and waned drastically. There is one constant....you can't keep them out. Look at Trump's border wall. it has been breached thousands of times under through and over. How much did that cost?
As I've said before if you have solutions that haven't been used in Ukraine just say it.No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

I don't think that anyone should invade Russia, you know what they say about a cornered rat and that would be a pretty good way to push him too far.
What I do think is that either we should kick him out of Ukraine by force or tell him in no uncertain terms that we are going to do it in a week if he doesn't get on his bike and go home.
Obviously he will make threats and wave his Nuclear card but i don't reckon he will start lobbing Nukes around because he's being pushed out of Ukraine. Russia lost in Afghanistan and went home with their tail between their legs but didn't Nuke them as a parting shot!
He might use chemical weapons against us in Ukraine and that would be terrible for the civilians but from a military standpoint every army in the western world has NBC suits and Respirators so won't slow us down very much. The same applies to Biological weapons but I really think that's unlikely because Biological weapons are impossible to control and could easily backfire.
Anyway I think he knows that he would be in the pooh if he used any kind of NBC weapons regardless of if we were in Ukraine or not.
I think he knows that there's a line not to cross.
Although it's very risky for me to even mention such a dark day and I really apologize but I see possible Putin parallels. I can almost imagine Bin Laden's face when he flew planes into the World Trade Center, I imagine it went from ye-ha we did it to oh crap, now I'm in deep trouble, and boy was he!
9/11 was one of the worst days in history, we all remember what we were doing that day. I remember driving my train up out of Blackfriars tunnel in London into the station. I looked into the sky and there was nothing. Usually there was a lot of planes descending for Heathrow but that day the sky was empty, it was a chilling sight and I really apologize for bringing it up.
I do think that President Biden might not be quite the right guy as a possible wartime president. I was never a fan of Donald Trump but you know, right now he just might have been a good fit. I think he would either have told us all that Putin promised it wasn't his fault and Trump believes him, or he would have given Putin to the count of 10 to go home or else - and meant it!
Did the Ukrainians take out a Warship? I thought it was a landing craft.Last edited by STF; 03-25-2022 at 11:58 AM.

Thanked: 13245It was a Ship that deploys landing craft from the vid I saw
One analyst I caught last night laid down the Russian expansions to directly relate to Oil Costs
Basically as soon as oil goes over $75 per barrel Russia makes huge profits and Putin can finance his plans
Trumps energy policies more than his directness/unpredictable personality probably kept him more in check..
Drill Baby Drill
ps: I am watching one of your politicians bitch about the US NOT talking to Canada for more.. She just popped off about shutting down the XL Basically she is going off about Biden talking to Iran and Venezuela before Canada ***SMH***"No amount of money spent on a Stone can ever replace the value of the time it takes learning to use it properly"

Yea people say western leaders and Biden aren't up to it? What does that mean? It's an off handed way of saying we need to go in there and push Russia out without actually saying it.
Yea the guy who was in bed with Putin, the guy who idolized him and wished he was like him is gonna be tough on him. I know Trump conned and brainwashed millions in the U.S but in Canada too?
Bin Laden was a terrorist. When you pick that line of work you know from the get go your days are numbered. It's just a matter of time. Comparing him to Putin is ridiculous.
Once again people just KNOW Putin will turn tale and run when confronted. No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero
