The sole reason for the invasion is because they want to be part of NATO and Russia will not allow it - ever!
And yes, that is what NATO is about. Slogan - an attack on one is an attack on all.
The fear from the Baltic states is this will continue to them which NATO is already preparing for collectively.
It will be world war if Russia attempts to invade any of them.
