What is your limit there? Here in Minnesota many lakes have a 5 or 10 Sunfish daily limit with a 20 posession limit no matter what lake.

No limit on sunfish or bullhead catfish, here. Everything else has a limit. Could be in size and number for some

It's been a great year, this year. Started with the earliest start of a season (February) and latest, Christmas day. Actually, probably tomorrow. If weather permits.

Yeah...I was fishin, on Christmas day, in a boat, with my life long fishin buddy.
    Water temp...33.5°F, air temp 57.

We did considerably well, surprisingly. Lakes have had a thin layer of ice on um, up till about three days ago. But we managed to catch 10, mostly in the 1-2 pound range.

To my buddy.... Merry Christmas, Pal.

Up here we have ben ice fishing smaler lakes for 3-4 weeks. 3.5 inches is certainly good to walk on but not drive your truck....

After the last few warm days and rain my local lake is ice free.

We seem to hardly get good ice, anymore. As a kid and up till early 90s, we'd be on the ice by Christmas, till mid of March. Always had to renew your fishin license by the first of March. Typical first boating day, was Easter weekend.

If we don't get a artic blast real soon, there won't be ice fishing this year either. Sucks. I enjoy staring at a bobber in a hole.

Most areas from what I understand don't allow spear fishing.

If not can you cut a big hole.

Looking into the water as an aquarium is much fun!
