Christianity is not at all unified. I even went to a Christian university for 5 years, and daily saw people of the "same" religion ready to strangle each other because of minute doctrinal differences.

So, one choice makes a bit more sense than 20 or 30.

Both of my parents are christian, but they raised me to learn and decide for myself on all things. Sorta, Learn from your own mistakes kinda thing. So as of 29 I am nothing. At some point I am sure that I will make up my mind. Just haven't seen anything yet to make me go one way or another.

I did know this really cute Buddhist once. Man was she pretty!!! LOL

Yeah my wife is Jewish too...well, Mormon also! By blood she is Jewish, and by mother she is Mormon but has long since shed that mantle!

100% certain, dyed-in-the-wool, totally-knows-his-own-mind agnostic huh? I am so confused!? Or am I?

I believe that belief and faith are private matters.

Almost each time someone brings this type of discussion into a public forum or community things seem to go badly.

I agree that they are private matters for those who wish to keep it private! That is why I set the poll up, so you wouldn't have to reveal yourself if you didn't want to!

As far as going bad, I am certain you are not referring to this community as there have been several threads about politics, religion, and even one about God Himself and for the most part they all went swimmingly! Check the off topic forum going back at least six months and see for yourself!
