Bruno, I think you're confusing vegetarianism with fasting!
I like meat too much. Dinner just doesn't seem right without some form of it. I had a portobello sandwich the other day that was good, but just not filling. I added sliced turkey to it and voila! Perfect sandwich.

Thanked: 0I don't define myself as such but I did give up meat, milk and eggs for lent. It is interesting to say the least. Cooking has become a challange for me without the eggs and milk part. Everything baked use them so they are out.
Like I said, interesting to say the least...

Myself, I eat very little meat. Mainly fish or chicken. 5 days a week meals are stir fried. I don't consider myself to be a veggie at all. I NEVER eat fast food and I'm very picky about what I eat...... unless it's cookies... Gotta love leather and it's a large part of my wardrobe. I also braid my own whips from kangaroo hide....great stuff. Whipboxing...anyone??????

Nope, I eat meat. There is nothing tastier than a perfectly cooked steak. Brown that baby up in a pan, seasoning it as you go, and then toss it in the oven for around 10 or 15 minutes, depending on how you like it cooked. Mmmm. I am so going to make that tonight, now that I've got it on my mind.

Haha, don't get me wrong, I really used to enjoy a good steak in the evening. Fortunately, a number of other dishes can be very delicious and still feed you up right. Though you can't really replace meat in a diet (nothing tastes or fills like it), I personally found that its very easy to get away from, and even easier to stay away. Honestly, for me, its all about staying lean and fit so I can rock climb at a very high level, something more than worth the cost to me.

Beef. Venison. Goose. Duck. Lamb. Chicken. Fish. Shellfish. I treat all animals equally. The best tasting, in my opinion, are the ones you kill and clean yourself though. Nothing better than a good, properly seasoned goose breast, or a shore-lunch of fresh-caught largemouth bass in a beer-batter.
And does everyone know where the word "vegetarian" came from? It's an old Iroqouis word for "bad hunter".

Thanked: 0I've been an octo-lavo vegetarian for about 14 years now. (I still eat chocolate chip cookies).
