    I actually remember watching a program on a study that was done to determine which was "better". Aside from being easier to handle, away from the wall was also deemed to be marginally more sanitary.

    Anyone who has ever lived with cats or small children know that the paper must be arranged to feed TOWARD the wall. Anything else and you will soon have a pile of toilet paper on the floor and none on the roll.

    BTW- I am just happy if swmbo remembers to refill the holder let alone which way the stuff faces. Nothing like finding yourself in "condition 0" and then noticing the TP situation is defcon 1.
