Having been very sick over the last twelve months and facing another surgery tomorrow, I think I must say that health is what is most valuable. I have lost my job because my health failed. My partner is standing by but good health is much less stressful on a relationship. I can see how being healthy and able allows you to pursue the other "gifts".

Thanks for the well wishes. However, pleae understand I wasn't fishing for pity. I simply wanted to back up my opinion with first hand reason.

The surgery went well. I had more damage in my lower abdominal muscles ythan anticipated so the surgery was a little more involved but successful. Thank god for percoset and ice.

Glad to hear it went well Brad. Here's wishing you a speedy recovery. Looks like its back to the artistic sculpting then?

Hmmm, good poll! I reckon love. Because everything that's most precious to me has resulted from love. My parents (still alive and together after 40-some years), my wife, and of course my children result from love (and, ahem, lurrrve ).

My friends, family, etc. and whole support network result from love. The reason why I continue to be part of the daily grind is because I love my job (shock! CAN someone actually love their job? I do.)

    All you need is love.

    So there you go.

P.S. Bruno -- I started to think about the 'good health' thing too, but though you may live long enough to maximise finding love, you might not. Plenty of people don't!

With respect to those who have spoken about religion in recent posts, I think this thread is beginning to head off topic. I find that a very sad thing. Many people seem to enjoy this poll. I am not singling out the people who express strong PRO religion posts, nor I am referring soley to thosee strongly AGAINST religion. What i'm saying is we are all entitled to our own opinions but we should all act responsibly with them. Please dont push pro or anti religion arguments on this thread since it is not soley about religion.

Perhaps peace, love and tolerance are the most precious gifts....

EDIT: The referred to posts have been removed (many thanks Bruno) but I hope things remain on topic.
