Apparently Spain is trying to take one of Denmarks medals away. The mast on some boat broke just before the race and couldn't be fixed so the team from Kroatia let us loan their boat.
The Danish team came a bit over 3 minutes after the start which is ok according to the rules in that sport it seems. And they still won.
Unfortunately the Spanish took it to the IOC, who luckily deemed the victory in favor of Denmark. And now the Spanish are taking it to the COS (not sure if that is what its called). To try and have it overturned again.
The Germans who would be getting a bump in some sort of medal should Spain get their way have elected not to contest the gold to Denmark. Rumor has it because of good sportmanship (the Danes winning with a 3 min slower start and a boat they have not trained in day after day).

I hope we keep it =)

I hope you do to, with 3 minute late start and still come in first in a borrowed craft, how much more is needed to be a winner!

So will anyone be watching the Paralympics when they start in a week or so?

Congratulations to everyone who won a medal and I think everyone taking part managed to snag at least one!

Thankfully, they are over now and I will not be burdened by the stupidity for another four years.

What about the farce that they called the Tae-kwon-do? I know i've spoken about this already but more has happened since then. There was a british lady who scored a clear headshot and it was discounted. Then an enquiry and it was upheld! Also a costa rican got furious at the ref and hit the ref!

same for boxing... this Chinese guy gave a his opponent a "glasgow kiss" (do you call it a headbutt?) and the ref didn't even notice.

Per capita, I think NZ would take the prize, or some other tiny country that grabbed a gold or two (maybe even Jamaica).

I just heard! There IS a way for the UK to interpret the medals table so that we are at the top! Its simple!







We get to include any territories that were once ours in our medal tally!

Guess what? GB gets to include Australian medals, the United States medals, and a load of other smaller countries. So if China wants to get that high up on the medals table next year, then she better get invading countries now!

I was wondering when the UK would start calling in the Commonwealth! Think you may have an argument on your hands with commandeering US medals though!
