Hey, please stay on topic. We are gathered here today to bash that imbecile known as Sarah Palin. If you can't say something nasty about her here, don't say anything at all.

I am only continuing this conversation because the OP seems to be allowing it. Say the word Brad and I will cease and desists and wait for a thread split!

    Now about this:

I Didn't use to think so but, in light of new info, now I say YES. If that innocent human life is going to grow up unwanted and steal, rape, or commit itself to a life of crime, save me the trouble and tax dollars and kill it now. JMHO. Harsh? You bet, but so is the death penalty is it not?
Or as in Brad's suggestion, to help someone else cope with their situation?
Depends on the situation but mostly: YES IMHO

If the unborn is not a person with the same God-given rights as one who has made it through the birth canal, then what difference does crime make? If it's just a lump of tissue, then is any special argument needed to justify its termination?Crime costs ME money. It endangers people that I care about, and it effects the economy to a degree. I have no problem saying that a fetus is a living organism. I also have no problem with an unwanted fetus being killed before they cause any problems that effect my world. This is a completely self serving philosophy. I don't care.

It's unfortunate that the four on the two tickets are the best the major parties could get elected, but working with what we've got, I don't even see Obama / Biden as an option. If I thought Palin would support killing more than five million innocent civilians over the next four years for no other reason than it is her right to choose, then I would do as Brad suggested and help keep her out of Washington
I don't want the Government deciding anything for me. (isn't that a republican cornerstone?) So why in Holy Hell would I want them to decide this? I know, why don't we let them decide what church I attend and what language my kids should speak too. Does anyone else feel like the sky is falling when the Republicans start talking about Government intervention? It has always confused me why the majority of Repubs want the intervention on Abortion but not elsewhere (until, surprise surprise, banking as of late).

    Hi All,

Yowieeee, looks like a few posts are kinda pushing the envelope here. The discussing of politics has enough emotion and drama for me, and I'm not even gonna touch abortion. Nope, I'm not gonna mention my thoughts on it, and I know I'll be better off this way. I've gotten into situations in the past on other forums, and would prefer keeping things on the lighter side.

So, let me include a few videos some of you might enjoy. The first is one I'd recommend Mrs Palin using in some way, possibly during a rally of hers. It's called 'People Like Us', and I think you'll maybe see how it applies to the strategy picked for her to use. Hehe, it's also a good cut, and John Goodman does a nice job with it.

The next one...........well, I'm including it cause it's pretty funny video, but it's also another good song. Yeah, it's called 'Dream Operator', and both songs are originally done by The Talking Heads. These are in a movie called 'True Stories', and it's quite a nicely warped film. I highly recommend seeing this one if you have a twisted sense of humor, (and you like the music that group does).

Maybe this will lighten the mood a bit,
    Martin

    Now about this:
You can easily continue with your argument and still bash Palin. For example, I went to a grocery store today and there was this incredibly ugly woman who was pregnant. I spent some time campaigning for abortion. I begged her to go through with an abortion to save the world from another ugly child. She said she'd think about it. After all, Sarah Palin is a stupid liar.

See, it's easy and fun too!

    No sense doing something halfway.

To quote er uh you, "Please refrain from these comments as they are inappropriate to this thread!" The main reason is because Sarah Palin is a very good reason to not vote for McCain.
