I never thought I'd see it getting close to under $2 a gallon, but in Ohio....it is almost there. If I see it under the $2 mark, I might just dance a jig.....
But seriously, the price coming down is nice...I just don't expect it to stay down forever. With the prices way up at the $4 mark, it made it really hard to justify a trip into town unless I really needed to go.

I hear winter gas is a little cheaper as they don't put as many additives in it. It's down to 1.79 in my neck of the woods. And that's at a chevron.

been under two dollars here in tx for about a week (at some stations). i just dont understand why some stations have 1.97 a gallon and across the street at another station it is still at 2.02 a gallon, why would anyone go for the more expensive one? when i was in georgia a few weeks ago gas had gotten up to around 5 something!! they said that after the hurricanes georgia "ran out of gas"

Yesterday morning a station was $1.85. That afternoon it was $1.79. This morning $1.75. I figure at this rate, they'll be paying customers to take gasoline from them by December!
PS it sure feels like it has been a long time since I filled up my nearly empty tank for less than $20Find me on SRP's official chat in ##srp on Freenode. Link is at top of SRP's homepage

It's just so crazy! I can afford to drive my truck again...it only costs me $47 to take it from bone dry to full! (that's 25 gallons @ $1.88/gallon)
Woo!!!
Slightly off topic, but I find this sad: my truck, which is a 1990 Chevy with a 350, gets the same gas mileage as these new trucks today and still tows more- 20 highway/14 street, 10,000 lbs. You'd think that after 20 years, GM would have figured it out. I think they have and they just haven't been sharing it with us.
