Thanked: 335Arid: I use it all the time with fond hope when I find myself once again up to my eyeballs in the swamp and the alligators are circling.

Thanked: 150Gentlemen, thank you for your support. She is now alleging that this poll was rigged, because you all are just agreeing with me because we are all like-minded men, and you are sticking up for one of your own. (of course I saw that coming).

Which would be true if we weren't all correct in the first place
At least it beats a real fight. We've been fighting over my poor memory the last couple days and it's a losing battle. She claims I just don't pay attention which is clearly not the case- I hang on every sentence she says, especially if it starts with "will you do...?"

I have said that too Miketo, women love shouting the answer to that one.
You sould point out to your wife that this is the wrong place for such a poll. the problem being that you are narrowing down on a probably more educated group (not necessarily higher education).
1. we're all on computers, so at least that savvy
2. we've invested the time to get into this hobby/lifestyle, which means we probably for the most part at least have inquisitive minds and have taken the time to learn about something that a small fraction of society knows about. requiring research, study etc.
I've noticed this group as a whole has a lot of guys with common interests. Seems most of us are either professionals, or from fields that require discipline, dedication and a modicum of intelligence.
just something to point out to her.
back to vocabulary. don't you all find it interesting when words are used contrary to their definition but it is accepted?
i.e. moot actually means open for discussion, but is usually used to mean a topic is closed. a moot point should mean open for debate, but common acceptance is it means the opposite.

+1 Bruno.
I always remember this quote: "There's very little future in being right when your boss is wrong!"
Back to the point, hasn't anyone ever heard of Arid Extra Dry? It was a deodorant or antiperspirant and get what the name implies.
YouTube - Arrid Extra Dry - Jane Badler (Commercial, 1980)
