    Default dispute with wife

I have to settle a dispute. She alleges that "no one knows the word arid" I say that while it is not commonly used, it is a reconizable word. So let me hear it. How many of you have heard, and know the general meaning of the word arid.

Are there more four letter words your wife does not know?

I have even actually used the word in a sentence ... we'll make a believer out of her yet!

I believe that arid is one of those great words that is not used enough. I am going to make a marked effort to use the word arid at least three times tomorrow.

Your wife has a low estimation of the general state of education, indeed. Not to say she is wrong, but, well, it's sad.

Matt, are you trying to get her to teach you the meaning of "frigid" and "doghouse". While sometimes one must disagree with them. the quieter you do it, the safer for your health and wallet. she will find about about this and not be amused.

i trust the warning is not coming too late.
    Be just and fear not.

Even when youre right, you will still be wrong. The trick is to not care what they think.

She challenged me to post a poll, and stated with the utmost conviction that she was right. I agree with you in general, but when she throws down the gauntlet, I must meet the challenge.

Alright councilor, what did she look like when she "challenged" you? Was this a hand-on-the-hip challenge?
Or was she smiling? Just some food for thought. Why fight city hall?

    LOL!
