i must say that i am amazed that i haven't received any negative reps yet (unless i am looking in the wrong place). not saying i want some but i usually unintentionally tick someone off by now. thats why i like this place

You can't rep someone until you've repped 19 others. This prevents people from smiting down someone's reputation. You can also only rep 10 people per 24 hours.

So if someone has received 3 neg reps, that means it was most likely from 3 different persons.

OMG someone is using the mechanics of the forum in a way another user doesn't like... wah, wah! If a rule wasn't broken by the user live with it. A rep is just that, a person's opinion of another user. Apparently someone doesn't like you (you being whoever got the bad rep), suck it up.
