I don't hire just any idiot off the street. If you are lucky enough to be on my team, you can use whatever I own. What's mine is yours. I've never been dissapointed by one of my guys.

I work in a button down office. I would never lend my knife out. On days that I am dressed in lightweight summer pants, I don't even carry my william henry small folder. I carry a tiny little Atwood Booger or Mini SonOfPryThing. Either of these has about an inch of cutting surface...but I keep it SHARP. If anyone needs to cut something that scissors can't handle, I do it. I'm worried about the stupid things people do WITH knives, and they could hurt themselves.
On days I do carry a good knife, then I am worried about all the remarkeably stupid things people do TO knives, and I am worried they could hurt my knife. Oh, and that whole they could get hurt thing, too...yeah, I'm terribly friggen' concerned.
