Hallowed be thy name?
Wow! These people are actually petitioning Obama as you would God. This is a tad scary:http://renovomedia.com/politics/gama...o-obama-video/
How do you feel about this? Is there anything to it or are they just a bunch of kooks?

I only heard two syllables as well.
I wouldn't be surprised by such a thing though. It certainly wouldn't be the first time for a human to be worshiped as a god.
Years ago I said that 500-1,000 years from now, Oprah will be worshiped by followers who will construct a pagan religion based around whatever she seems to give to those who follow her with such allegiance today.
Chris L"Blues fallin' down like hail." Robert Johnson
"Aw, Pretty Boy, can't you show me nuthin but surrender?" Patti Smith

kind of weird..... been in the making for decades tho..... we as americans are consumers....
everything form buying into sylvester stallone being rambo when in fact he avoidded the draft....... 2 presidents avoiding the draft, one of which burned the american flag. both sending people to war. our sons and daughters, brothers sisters fathers..... and now a president that salutes the flag at will, puts his hand on his heart when he wants to. doesnt surprise me at all that people "sing his praises"

this is going waaaay out on a limb Mark
I gotta disagree on this one lol
Edit: a bunch of kooks - the lone trombone was the scariest part of the video
At 1:52, 2:06, etc, it's just "hear our cry oh god" with some of them coming in late on the "oh god"Last edited by hoglahoo; 09-30-2009 at 04:28 PM.

First, I also hear "O God".
Second, even if they were saying "Obama" I wouldn't have a problem with it. Forgive my blunt religious viewpoint, but which is more kooky; petitioning to someone that is real or petitioning to someone that is imaginary?
