Obama Named Country Music Entertainer of the Year
Surprise Selection Shocks Nashville
NASHVILLE (The Borowitz Report) - President Barack Obama stunned the country
music world today by picking up its highest honor, Country Music Entertainer
of the Year.
Mr. Obama was chosen unanimously, according to the Country Music
Association, beating out such favorite as Carrie Underwood and Toby Keith.
In Nashville, country music insiders were shocked by Mr. Obama's selection,
given that he has only been in office for eight months and during that time
has yet to record a single country song.
But Mr. Obama was gracious in receiving the honor, saying that he was
"honored and humbled" by the award before excusing himself to accept this
year's Heisman Trophy.

Thanked: 953This gives me hope, for change. I don't know why, but it makes my hopeful and changeful.
The travesty Russia, Iran, Europe, etc. etc. don't seem to get it, and don't realize they should stand and applaud no matter what Obama says. But those guys in Norway get it! Which gives me hope, for change.

So here we have it: I will step on your throat when you are down, and you will do the same when I am down. No holds barred. I will stuff it down your gullet when my party is in power, and you will do exactly the same when your party is in power. And if someone from one of the parties attempts to change the tone of this type of "conversation", you will attempt to stuff it down his gullet. And so it goes on, and on, and on...

Thanked: 13246Yes absolutely, thank you for clarifing...... It is very simple, the Liberal agenda stands for everything I truly despise.. I am big enough to admit it too, I will do everything I possibly can to make sure nothing gets passed... In fact I just got home from a local Tea Party meeting, first political meeting I have ever been to in my life... So I thank Barry Obama for motivating me enough to actually get off mt lazy rear and become really involved...
Oh and by the way the days of the left pulling that guilt trip on the conservatives is over, I don't think they are falling for it anymore.....

Thanked: 143Truth is at least as strange as fiction:
Obama on Sunday won the spoken word Grammy for the audiobook version of his blockbuster tome "The Audacity of Hope: Thoughts on Reclaiming the American Dream." It marked his second statuette, following a win in 2006 for "Dreams From My Father," an audiobook for a memoir first published in 1995. -- Reuters, Feb 10, 2008

That is what you on the left don't seem to understand, I speak for myself here not any other righties...but the liberals taught me that I don't have to respect the office nor the man in it....
I'm with you Glen. If I had a dollar for every "Liberal" that spoke ill about Bush, I'd be set for life. I remember a Staff Sergeant in my Platoon telling me how much of "F***UP," Bush was and how much better things were going to be with Obama. The second that I began to question Barak as a leader, I was called a racist and told to keep my opinion to myself. Gotta love the way some people think. My favorite line from that argument was being told, "Its our turn to shine, Barack is one us."Last edited by Carbonsteel928; 10-14-2009 at 11:22 AM.

Thanked: 267I have gone on record before that I think that they have awakened a sleeping giant. We have been here before when President Clinton was elected, the liberals had both houses and the presidency. So called conservative men got in power and proceeded to sell their beliefs down the road and became the "big shots" they replaced.
What bothers me about most of the liberals is that they lose all sense of justice and moral ground when they talk about other liberals. I would be the first to point out the failings, and there were many, of President Bush. A liberal will defend a tax cheat to the end, hell they will give them a cabinet branch. When a conservative sees that that kind of behavior we at least try to throw them out in their ear, we need more good men in Washington.

Richard
