[QUOTE=Pete_S;480436]Well, evolution is a proven, robust, scientific theory that is accepted by the scientific community as a whole, and not disputed by any reputable scientists. Its absolutely true.

It's only accepted by the scientism cult as a whole, and anyone who disagrees is excommunicated and declared a heretic - aka not a real scientist - regardless of their education intelligence schooling or credentials.
And like any tenent of any false religion, they have to keep jumbling it around to make it line up with the real and unavoidable science unless they can suppress it when the faults of their doctrine get exposed.

While this is off the topic of the original post, I feel that what I'm about to say is relevant to the way the discussion has gone, and I'd like to throw in my $.02 and say that there is a lot of thought that goes into the attempt to define the word "science," by both scientists and philosophers. Good scientists who want to be able to defend their work from public criticism must ensure that their experiments, claims, evidence, logic and reasoning will be accepted as "science." As for philosophy, well, there is an entire field called "Philosophy of Science" which considers, at it's heart, how science can be defined.

While you have said before that there are "good scientists" out there in previous posts, posts like the one I have quoted paint very broad strokes, and broad strokes are always inaccurate.

Since it seems that there was a lot of interest in discussing the difference between "real science" and "pseudoscience," I have opened another thread. Hopefully, discussion will migrate and this thread can return to the poll in the original post.

He certainly wasn't Good and Angel Eyes (Lee Van Cleef) was as Bad as they get so that leaves Ugly.
Blondie (reading a note left behind by Angel Eyes): "Hello idiots..."
Blondie (to Tuco): "Here, it's for you."
GBU trivia: Original title: "Il Buono, il Brutto, il Cattivo" actually translates to "The Good, the Ugly, the Bad" This led to some confusion in the "title" sequence (which is actually at the end of the movie). The English title misidentified the characters because it changed the order of the words but the filmed sequence behind the words was not changed. I think this may have been corrected in later releases.

ROCKS!

Oh man, ain't that a howl, man what a whopper.

It's the modern fairy tale for 'grownups'. Only for the very edumuhcated, hard to understand. Very high level reading requirement.

I've not done my reading yet, but I must really need to review and, indeed, relearn what "evolution" refers to. I thought "not only man bur all life" 'evolved' from randomly formed organic materials which were created in some sort of a body of liquid. When I do re-read, I'll pay extra attention for mentions of rocks.

To some of us a real classic, love it, got it on DVD. Remember the half soldier, and Tuco's traintrip with his boy friend, and his priest brother who hated to see him go.

Oh yes yes, the good ol' Cambell's Primordial Soup, a mysterious recipe made by uh ? - rain, which came down on uh uh? Hey, we really did come from rocks.

Or, then again there's the 'Panspermia' 'theory', ya extraterrestrials 'seeded' the planet with something or some kind of organic material. Na it must have come from the cooled off molted ROCK crust of the planet.
