Thanked: 586White people can be so insensitive to non-white pain. This new law is encouraging cops to stop anyone they feel may be here illegally. I don't thing they will be looking for North Koreans or eastern Europeans. As the majority of Arizona residents are hispanic, I will bet that there will be many folks having their civil rights violated. Glen, we are not required to carry any proof of citizenship. I don't. I only carry my driver's license and as far as I know, you don't have to be a citizen to have one of those. The guy who drafted the new law has strong ties with white supremist orgs. Arizona is also the home of the Minutemen violent vigilante group. Arizona is not really known to be the stately home of constitutional equality. There are even high level Republicans (including Jeb Bush and Carl Rove) voicing opinions that this new law is misguided and bound to run into constitutional violations. The issue is that the security of our borders is the job of the federal government and they (neither party) seem to want to do anything to keep illegals out.
