This post reminds me of something I heard my dad say a long time ago that stuck with me. "At first, a lot people become a Christian because they fear going to Hell. Then, as they learn, they serve God because they want to go to Heaven. As they grow, they want to go to Heaven because they love God and want to be with Him"... I think that sums it up pretty well. Beyond Heaven, there is the fellowship (joint participation) with God and the other saints.
Perfection doesn't have the connotation that we won't sin. Perfect, in this sense means "complete". Jesus was God incarnate in human form, but we are made in the likeness of God. There's a difference, but as we become members of his "body" we become adopted sons who "cry Abba, Father" (Rom. 8:7-15)
