Thanks all for the input & advice. I cycled this morning to, I guess, force the issue a little and also to compensate for my inevitable ale intake today. Surprisingly there was no pain at all and upon finishing, after about 25 minutes or so intense cycling, I feel a lot better. I will stick to the bike for a week and try the treadmill again and see how it goes. There is no real tightness or noticeable inflamation. It feels like the pain is inside the joint. Hopefully time and conditioning will solve my problem because I dont plan on giving it up. It is quite an enjoyable workout and certainly relieves the boredom of cycling 6 days a week.
