I was tearing through live stream websites trying to find a stream of the San Jose - Detroit game today and cursing because I was missing the game unable to find a link. Then I realized it was Wednesday and the game is on Thursday. . .

I have to admit, it was great hockey. My boys showed heart and gave it their all, but came up a little short. SJ skated like they wanted it, heck, even Marlowe got in on the action. Everyone in "Los Tiburones" land can breathe a sigh of relief. For me, it's "Wait 'til next year!"

The playoff "beard" ( ha, he called it a "beard") got started late, grew slowly, and is only 8 days old, but it will die much too young.

I've gotta pick out one of my favorite razors, because this POBSOTPS will have to be consoling; besides, this blade has actually got some work to do.

Truer words were never spoken. Right after the Wings game last night, I decided that what was needed to console me was a shot of whiskey, with a twist of lime. A drink? No silly, the shave!

    Here is my POBSOTPS:

Razor: the Revisor "Seeman" 6/8 shoulderless
    Brush: Hess "Barber's Favorite" boar
    Soap: TGQ's "Whiskey"
    After Shave: Pinaud "Lime Sec"

That boar brush really felt good scrubbing the face. The Whiskey scent was, well . . . intoxicating!

The Revisor was in good form. After each pass, a joy to see all that stubble left in the lather. . . a pleasure to feel all that "smooth" left on the face. The lime chaser - Brisk! Ahhhhh.

A great shave - and yet - it would have been nice to put up with the stubble a little while longer.

Glenn, thanks for starting this thread! Not only have I enjoyed (and will continue to enjoy) talking hockey with the SRP bretheren here, but I re-discovered just how good a straight shave feels after going without one for a while.

To you guys whose teams are still alive: Enjoy! To the fans of the eventual champion - you will have a championship class shave!!

Sorry to hijack this thread for a moment. This has nothing to do with NHL playoffs but IIHC world championships 2011.
Watch how this 19 yo kid Mikael Granlund, also known as Mickey Mouse, makes the goal. I've never seen such amazing trick before. It's unbelievable. Last evening i was at the local pub with my wife watching this game from a big screen. This goal almost blew the world. Few ladies had a tears in their eyes. It is an art in it's puriest form. Granlund will be playing in Minnesota next season.

Well hopefully the B's are watching plenty of tape on how to properly kill a penalty! It seems when they have the puck they hit it about as hard as my six year old. When Tampa Bay is on the penalty kill they hit the puck with a distinct purpose, which is to KILL THE PENALTY!!!
