Why not! Couldnt be any worse than anybody else, as a matter of fact I am almost to the point where I think we should do away with elections and draw names randomly like jury duty, at least this way the person would be corrupted over time rather than coming in as a bought and paid for entity.

I would like to see someone come in and talk some sense and put the entirety of the country first and foremost instead of pandering to special interest, party platforms, or the best sound bite. the budget needs to be balanced, the house needs to be secured(defense and borders) and our manufacturing base needs to be restored, without manufacturing you can not create wealth. I would vote for a blue drunken monkey from Mars if I thought he could do this.

Of the candidates I know, Mitt Romney seems the most qualified, since the problems that are the most urgent (economy and debt) seem to be where he knows what he is doing.

Btw I wonder if 2012 will be a clean campaign, or whether it will end with mudslinging.

If it were to be a 'clean campaign' with no mud slinging it would be the first in American history ...... maybe in world history ?

Sorry for stirring the pot, but...

From Article 11 of the Treaty of Tripoli (wiki link), drawn up during Washington's presidency, presented to, read aloud in, and ratified unanimously by the U.S. Senate, and signed by President Adams:

As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion,—as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquility, of Mussulmen,—and as the said States never entered into any war or act of hostility against any Mahometan nation, it is declared by the parties that no pretext arising from religious opinions shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries.

I just got done reading David McCullough's John Adams and should have remembered that. It was mentioned. If you think about it this country was founded by people whose ancestors came over here to avoid religious persecution. They happened to be Christians. Here in this country, if I understand it correctly, we as a nation of people were founded on the precept that there would always be freedom of religion here in the USA. What the religious beliefs, or the lack of belief, of people in this country are is their own affair. For those of us who are Christians, Jesus instructed us to let our light shine as on a hilltop, not to hide it beneath a bushel basket.

This did not mean that we were to brag about who it is we believe in. Rather we are to be meek, to be peacemakers. To demonstrate through our behavior, and our attitude toward others that there is something about these Christians that is different and desirable. To have those other people want to be like us. Coming at unbelievers in a pugnacious or combative and critical way attracts no one. Just IMHO.

Someone who will have the guts and the skill to force the other two branches to adhere to the Constitution as it is written and intended.

    Best Regards,
