Sorry about your friends. I don't have much compassion for celebrities that are unable to cope with the "rigors" of fame.

The trouble is you're not born a celebrity but you become one due to an unusual talent that pays big money. Deep down she probably was an ordinary country girl that couldn't handle the stress. Celebrities have a much shorter life expectancy than ordinary people.

Coming from the country rather than the town doesn't make you more prone to the affects of stress, or less intelligent. It wasn't stress she couldn't handle, but the purchasing power of the money she made, some spend it wisely, some snort it. I don't think that it's true that celebrities live shorter lives than the rest of us, The Stones and many other ageing rockstars kept touring long after getting their entitlement to a free bus-pass.

I would not blame this on society.
This has been a thing of all times, and is not reflective of modern society.
Likewise, if her life was hard on her, she had more than enough cash to just quit and retire and life a quiet life.

I don't doubt that celeb life can be hard. But in the end, she is the one in control.

    RIP Amy.

Too much money and too much time on her hands, she should have stayed busy, lay down some new tracks, feed the hungry or save the whales, but she decided to ingratiate her self. The same could be said of the rest of the 27 Club and many others alive or dead.
