    Default RIP Amy Winehouse

Just saw on the news that Amy Winehouse has passed away at just 27, very tragic!

I really feel sorry for the poor girl because if she hadnt got into all the drugs and booze she'd still be with us now.

She was an amazing singer and had such a great voice. I remember seeing her on Never Mind the Buzzcocks when she first started out, before all the tattoos and drug abuse. She was a pretty, vivacious girl with an amazing talent and its just such a shame that it had to end like this. 27 is no age at all.

    RIP

RIP... it's a shame, what a waste of a great talent and beautiful girl. Very sad...

Kurt Cobain, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison and Janis Joplin all at 27.

Seems drug related death is a tragic side effect of the music industry. RIP.

Sad that such a talented artist had demons she couldn't overcome. Robert Johnson the delta blues great was also 27. He was poisoned but his alcohol abuse led directly to that. Hank Williams, arguably the greatest country western singer, met his untimely end at 29 through the use and abuse.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

It takes strong shoulders to carry the burden of fame. You cannot blame the poor girl, it's our permissive society that's really to blame.

I lost friends to heroin in our late 20's. One fell off a cliff under the influence. Another had a heart attack.
I'm glad I was always scared of needles.

I think it is truly sad what happened , however I don't feel sorry for people that are destructive to themselves, u play russian roulette, or more importantly u do things that can kill u , surprise there is a big chance that u will die from it . I apologize if that makes me seem cold at all or ignorant. I guess being in Hollywood it just bothers me That all these people care about a girl who ultimately had a choice to live or die , and none of them knew or cared about innocent people dying in Norway, but again thats a different thread.
I'll get off my soapbox now
