Thanked: 2Make your wife feel better rather than worse. Get a sexy photo of your wife (post it here if you like), and get her to autograph it. Frame it and put it up beside the rest. That way, she'll feel that you care just as much about her as the country singer. Even if you don't.
Or you could get mutiple copies and paste them inside every drawer, file, book, newspaper in the house, so she's EVERYWHERE except the walls.

Thanked: 9Man, you have to be really obsessed if she doesn't let you hang the picture! You shouldn't have let her know how much you like JR... Now it's too late but know this for the next time
I do believe she is out of line telling you this! You gotta fight it. However, I also believe that if you fight it the wrong way, this might turn into a big problem, coupled with other issues... Recipie for disaster. Maybe the question is do you want to see how big a disaster now or later. One solution is to explain to her that she has no right / justification to require this / rip up you pic, but you love her and would make a compromise because ... bla bla bla ... To which she could respond: If this f-ing picture is so important that you are making me so unhappy and a small compromise is such a big deal to you, what am I doing with you? Tough, very tough! In the final analysis, she (and you) have to learn to live with the real other person, if you are going to be happy together for a long time
Honestly, I don't have an answer. I have been accomodating to my wife to see her demands increase more and more: e.g. at first I could go out all the time, then it was only twice a week, then gradually if I go out twice in a week she's asking who else who is married does this... like I care who else does it (and I continue to tell her that I don't care if other husbands do it...) My point is, it seems with some women the more you give in, the more they think they are absolutely right. This does not mean that they are bad or something... they just gain confidence and forget that you are actually compromising, they start to take it as granted... same with cooking - at first I did it a couple of times, gradually I am cooking like 90+ percent of the time, and she expects it AND THINKS I LOVE IT. Heheheeeeeeeeee, sure, I can't spend my time better than thinking about what to buy for cooking, how to cook it, and then actually cook it! Well, when we were starting to date guess who was preparing custom dishes... certainly not yours truly!
You know your wife better than we do, and you are responsible for your decisions and actions; even more importantly - you are going to live with the consequences - so don't listen too much to any advice you get here
Cheers
Ivo

Thanked: 1Lordy lordy lordy, Josh...
Shred the autograph... what could you possibly be thinking? Put it in perspective. A scribble on a piece of paper? That going to keep you warm at night? Listen to the gal's music instead.
ShavetheBadger had good advice about an autographed photo of your wife. I wouldn't post her pic here, though. You might want to tell her that you are proud enough of her that you would, though.
If she is not the most important person in your world, you aren't with the right gal. And what are your chances of hooking up with Roberts? Zip?

I just dont like being told what to do...she cooks, she bakes, she lets me go out whenever I want, she is pretty good...just VERY jealous.
I was just wondering if there was something I could say to her to change her mind? I have tried all I could think of though.

Thanked: 2Excuse me for saying so, but if those pictures are of your wife, when did you find the time to leave the house and find out about fan-dangled coun-tree muuzic.
Honestly, I'd be spending most of my time at home.
Of course, the grass is always greener.

well I started listening to Julie Roberts about a year before I met my wife lol. My wife actually owns her CD and knows every word by heart...but she refuses to admit she likes her....
I actually converted my wife to a country music fan...I think she listens to it more than I do now!

LOL Bill its so funny, she will go to concerts with me, everytime I come home there is country music playing, and she knows every song by heart..she even knows some songs I dont! But when I tell her that I turned her into a country music fan, she denies it completely...AS she is singing along or watching it on TV LOL
I have even gotten her to wear cowboy hats at times...but I still cant convince her to get a bear of cowgirl boots
