Thread: Nov 22nd 1963 The Kennedy Assassination

It was before my time. I have no idea about who may be the person(s) behind it.
I am also unsure about whether Oswald did it or not, or how far he was involved.
He -was- the ideal patsy though.

And from everything I've seen, there -was- a coverup. Quite a lot of evidence was fabricated.
It could even be that they did genuinely suspect Oswald and fabricated the case against him.

I will say this though: imo that case stinks like a cesspit, and we will never know, barring deathbed confession. Too many secrets and too many stakeholders.

I've always been fascinated by this historic event.
The various theories are fun to read.
I don't think the world will ever be convinced of any of them.
My personal thoughts on this is that LHO did this himself from the book depository..

Do I think Oswald shot him...Yes
Do I think He was the only one who did...No
Was there a cover up...Yes
Was Oswald a patsy...yes

The Sad truth is a man was murdered that day. He may have been a great man, he may have been a so so man, but his exicution was and still is viewed by millions of people. That family suffered so much tradgedy. I can only hope the truth will come out someday and shed some light on it.

All I know for sure is anything that comes out of any government is rarely what it really is in it's entirety. I have come to reading and watching the news just for entertainment. I have been on the scene of some local new events in the past and after reading about it in the local papers and/or seeing it on TV I had to wonder if I was really there or just dreamed the entire event. This is from events I know about. I am always amazed by people that swear people or events are as they believe w/o first hand experience. As far as Kennedy's assignation goes, I do not find any entertainment it the event or speculation of who did it. I would be interested in knowing w/o a doubt what happened but that will never happen in my life.

I remember coming home from school that day. My Mother and Grandfather picked me up. We went straight to my Grandparent's house and the TV was on. My Mother asked me if I knew that the president had been shot. I said "Yea, Lincoln!" Boy was I in for a surprise. I too couldn't believe that the current president could be assassinated.

I think it was LBJ.

I always thought conspiracy myself , until an article in Guns n Ammo about Elephant Poachers caught my attention... they were talking about medium velocity (2000-2500 fps) rifle rounds using heavy for caliber jacketed bullets being able to bring down an elephant and the bullets almost being able to be re-loaded because there was very little deformation...

I started looking at the Magic Bullet a bit differently after that, then the fact that when the lower and inside jump sets of the Limo that Connelly and his wife were sitting in are taken into account, it straightens out the path...
Forward movement of the Limo and the kinetic energy of the bullet explain the head shot and whip action in the Zapruder film...

Two things I am still not so comfortable with though,,,
1.) The fact the one bullet created 7 wounds and had virtually no upset when the head shot bullet left only jacket shrapnel...
2.) Most shooters feel that the first shot should have been the most accurate yet that was the miss (they think)... Now some weak evidence is showing that perhaps the first shot was taken from more of an off hand standing position and/or perhaps a Traffic Signal light might have deflected it.. Then LHO settled in and fired the last two shot from a rested postion...

Also for many years we were told that the shooting was done in 6 seconds, now they are saying as high as 11 seconds which changes the scenario a bit.

I don't know whether he did it or not. 50/50.

What bugs me is that quite a bit of evidence has turned out to be fabricated.
If he really was a loner and there was no conspiracy, then who fabricated the evidence, and why?
And why was he shot by Jack Ruby?

This has troubled me probably more than it should since the actual assination took place. At this point and with
all the many invented therories I have no clear feeling about who was behind it. I have always had a sense of doom after the event that perhaps a coup was clearly completed that day. The "pristine" bullet theory remains
unanswered. Of course Johns brother Robert being killed was equally troubling.
I had in the early 70's and have an 8mm copy of the Zapruder film. It is troubling as well.

Some years ago, mid-80's a friend of mine brought out the same model Carano (sp) that the President was suposedly shot with. His uncle had brought it back from Italy as a war souvenir serving in Italy with Pattons army. 3 of us who were and remain excellent
shots did a measured shoot at a "still" target and could not repeat the alleged number of shots fired much less
the required number of hits in the time specified in the Warren report and other reports. I don't believe Oswald was anything but a patsy and was not in the book depository that day. A close enough double to fool witnesses not paying anything like close attention before the motor cade ambush.

Terrible and troubling events for many of us.
