This is the biggest reason people believe in a conspiracy and/or coverup. If it was LHO alone, an accident or intrigue, why wont they let us read the unadulterated documentation. 50 yrs later, who are they protecting?

Ask the FBI for their records on someone, anyone. See how cooperative they are. FOIA means you can get your own (if they have any), but not anyone else. Originally Posted by Theseus
There is nothing exceptional about the FBI's reticence with Ruby's files. The FBI (especially under Hoover, but still to this day) keeps extensive records on a lot of people. Whether you are involved in socialist political party activities, protesting the war (the FBI actually had informants in Quaker groups because of their anti-war position), a member of a mosque, or are a friend of a friend of a mobster, they have a file with your name on it. It may not have much, but they won't share it. They are not forthcoming with those files because it would be a breech of an individual's privacy, it would tip off others who are under active surveillance, and (more importantly) it would expose the level of government scrutiny that many "average joes" are subjected to. because the clear involvement of a school book
repository. Clearly there is a larger plan to eliminate
