    I never understood those laws, if a store is open and sells alcohol they should be able to sell it no matter what time it is. I understand not selling to someone who is intoxicated but in your case you just want some beer to enjoy later in the day. Seems stupid but what do we know, we are just citizens...

    It used to be much worse in Texas than it is now. There was a whole list of things that you weren't allowed to buy on Sunday. Cleaning supplies of all things.

    I remember walking through the grocery store and seeing certain aisles roped off. Very stupid, and finally repealed. After MANY years and MANY votes Irving FINALLY got the right to sell beer and wine in grocery stores.

    This is one large reason why Cowboy Stadium moved to Arlington, not that I miss it.
