Grizz,
Hydrogen is a great fuel. One of the biggest hurdles I see with it is being able to carry enough to go a long distance. High pressure gas bottles are dangerous. I've seen it stored in a solid form and you heated this solid to release the gas. It's been so long since I saw it demonstrated I have no idea what it was called.
They took a tank and shot it with a tracer round. It didn't blow up even though it ignited. It just had a 1' flame coming out of the bottle. You can heat the bottle with engine exhaust to release the gas. Maybe the company ran out of money.
I understand that Apple has announced plans to build a hydrogen (from natural gas) generation plant somewhere on the East coast.

I'll admit, there are times where I get upset...but that's only when an issue gets personal for me...i.e. friends not getting care due to the current state of our heath insurance system. and i'm not sure if it's that people can't counter the arguments...it's just that on both sides, the "truth" shifts significantly based on whatever side someone is rooting for, so even that has become subjective...and it's just plain hard for an argument to not just devolve into anger when both sides have "facts" to back up why they believe what they believe and neither side is really interested in seeing the others point of view. i make a strong effort to see both sides...sometimes i'm better at it, sometimes i'm not.

Thanked: 3227I guess you did not see the post where I said he won it and I did not say he deserved it. Regardless of what you or I think of these prizes in general or who deserves them, getting one is generally considered a positive accomplishment for the individual receiving it and the nation they represent.

I believe that was the fuel storage cell from BMW,as I think I saw the same thing on one of the science channels,or maybe Modern Marvels. It was on that show that they said the car would go about 200 miles with the present technology, and they were working on extending the range. on another point there is a very interesting video on youtube showing a car that ran on hydrogen and all you did was fill up the tank with water, and a device using harmonics converted it into the gas, they also sent a news crew to investagate it and they were convinced that it worked, then the guy suddenly died, the car dissapeared and was just recently discovered.you guys should check this out,...it looks like the real deal Water Powered Car Inventor was Killed! - YouTube
