There is no such thing as "thinking too much." However, the opposite is quite often the case in point. Specificity is the bulwark against ignorance. Why didn't you specify "G8 minus Russia" instead of "the West" in the first place? My answer to the poll would have been different, thus affecting your results.

Offcourse that's true too. If everyone is the west...then everyone is the east too. And that means no one is in decline!
Everyone is different....therefore everyone is the same.

How much decline do you need to refer to it as "decline"?
If you mean irreversible decline, I say absolutely not. If you mean are we looking at a few more down years - probably.
