Pray thee tell me WHY you would think of immigrating to the barbaric Estados Unidos with all of its problems (and SEMI AUTOMATIC guns so freely available) then?

Oh, I can't think of an event we've had here in the states that required missile launchers on the roof tops.............................................. ...........

    WUDDUPWIDAT?

Saw some pics of your "Bobbies" carrying MP5's too.

I'm glad to see they're waking up to the fact that MAYBE, just MAYBE, somebody with bad intentions and a COMPLETE disregard for the law might cause a need for such.

But then again, those cameras on every corner would probably see the perp and allow for plenty of advance warning. Maybe.

Haha yeah those missle launchers weren't well recieved, BUT I think preparing for an aerial assault was a good idea after the previous attacks in 2001 .

The love of my life is American, a washingtonian, that's why I am coming on over. Her dad has firearms, amongst other things. We have SWAT police here, they deploy within seconds of the mention of a firearm in the public, yeah they take time to get there but you know that when they do ... it's all over. They have some of those bobbies at the US embassy, they look rather serious! Makes you feel safe to have the authorities around. There is a heavy police presence on the street anyway though.
As an aside ... a more on topic thing ... those police shot dead a man on the london underground after a case of mistaken identity, even the well trained get it wrong.

Those cameras, there are people here for and against them. They do save lives but as the other side says ... they infringe on privacy. There are "talking cameras" in cities. They use them to tell litter bugs off, and to inform people they are being watched if they are doing something illegal. I can see why people wouldn't like that but it makes me feel a whole lot safer.

You are living in a total fantasy world. You think just getting rid of weapons will make everyone sit down and talk nice.

There are wolves in the world and you are advertising that you are a sheep.

Go try and sell your passivity to the Somalia Pirates or Iran, or any of the Muslim nations that want us dead.

Tell it to Gandhi, he liberated a nation using non violent means "Non-voilent civil disobedience".
here is a quote from an even smarter man.
"A weak man is just by accident. A strong but non-violent man is unjust by accident."

She won't go to UTOPIA some you have to come here. That is very noble of you.

Does your future gun owning father-in-law share your viewpoint about evil guns? If not, I can see a problem there.

He does not share my views, but he respects my opinion (Thank god [because he has a gun lol]), and I his.
Oh my Fiance wanted to come to the UK but it was impractical at the time. Have you ever been to the UK?
My fiance lives in "tha hood", and I really like the neighbors. They are all very helpful. Yeah the guy next door is a drug dealer, and the mexicans out back play nice music late on a WEDNESDAY night ... but it's all good in tha hood lol
