The imaginirary word 'free' has nothing to do with it, as people are not less free in any western nations either.
What makes you think that we europeans are some sort of slaves. Heck, most people i've met even outside Europe where thinking that they live in the best country of the world; being proud about it's culture and history. But there are no many places i've faced to arrogant attitude that their country would be somehow better than others.

Every single country have differences and problems of their own kind for sure. Some have more problems than others. You should study world history and cultures a little bit more. Even if it doesn't feel interesting, it might help you to understand more about the world and your own country too and it's place in the modern world.

Surely in most countries carrying a hand gun is limited more or less. Their lack the freedom of that special kind. But for me, living in a place where i had to be afraid of getting robbed/killed/raped without a gun and ready to shoot sound not that free either.

If someone asks me about the country with weak politicians and government, lot of guns and not much public services either, then it would be Somalia that comes to mind.

I'm not trying to offend anyone, just my opinion. There's a huge world outside USA.
You are correct sir....We used to have a saying here....Don't like it here ..go somewhere else. That is why it is imperitve that all nations keep their identity, culture, soverignty, and general ways intact. The world should not be homoginized but diverse because just like everyone has their own problems,so do they have their own delights. What works for one society should not be the cookie cutter blueprint for all others. God forbid that day ever comes,...the world will be boring and bitter .

That's great We will be living in Western WA nearer the coast, but My good ladies parents are from the drier sider of the mountains. They live in Ephrata. I think that's closer to Idaho (If I'm not mistaken). It's gonna be weird living in a place that's so bloody HUGE. I could drive from coast, to coast here in a few hours. Don't think that'd happen in the US of A! It will be a whole new experience.

Those yachts are bigger than the destroyer escort which carried a Sea King helicopter that I served on. We carried no missiles either. Shakes head,

Well, you may never have had Kings and Queens and such but don't kid yourself you have powerful people in your country with the same attitude. How else would you explain the antics of CEOs and their ilk that implies a divine right to behave the way they do. Even a supposed classless society is not classless. I think we just replace one type of subjugation with another less readily visible one.

Just look what happened when the local population had access to repeating weapons (assault rifles of the day with high capacity mags) in Montana at the greasy grass along the Little Big Horn River, spontaneously organized into a militia to defend their families, and exercised their 2d amendment rights as Americans. The Civil War hero general did not prevail.
