Thanked: 1160This doesn't really count as something seen while driving, but the most memorable thing driving related was when I almost got run over by a yellow cab in Chicago. All I saw was this blur go by me as I was getting ready to cross the street(I had the right of way). But as I watched it go down the street I noticed the cab was covered completely in Christmas light complete with a star on top.It was Christmas at the time. Would been a heck of a way to leave the planet....Ye see saint Peter,it'happened like this I was mowed down by a Chritmas tree on wheels !............

Thanked: 3228Naw, I don't think the web is the culprit and would be a great pity to loose such a great way to communicate with people world wide that we would otherwise never have been able too. I just think we have to slow down a bit. The pace of modern living is like running as hard as you can and still getting nowhere.
There is an appropriate use for the tech available to us and it is not texting someone while you are walking side by side. I don't wonder why the art of conversation is dying out. To get back on topic, there are just certain tasks you should not be distracted from if it can be helped at all.

Thanked: 247The things you see while driving.
It's been a while, but I saw a guy injecting something into his arm last year at an intersection while I was commuting on bike.
That is a bit scary!

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

Thanked: 1160Okay here is a tale of the road for ya..........On my way out here to Colorado years ago. My buddies and I were somewehre in Nebraska on a straight way with nothing for miles either way but cornfields.I mean nuffin fer miles! It's starts to let down freezing rain and fog on us when we happen upon a hichhiker on the road. Now what;s odd is,...he has no shirt on ,just a jean jacket unbuttoned, jeans and no shoes or socks on. No Backpack or any other visible accessories. We stop to pick him up and ask how far he's goin ? He says "as far as you can take me". Okay then,...off we go no problem. We maybe go less than a mile down the road and he say;s "this is good". We look at each other confused and ask "are ya sure?" He says yes "this is fine" . So we drop him off,the rain and fog are still happenin and there isn't one single sign of civilization for miles anywhere save for the corn itself..........I say we picked up a ghost ??!!
