Meh. I'd just kick it in reverse. Preferably from my secret bunker on the north pole or south pole.
Doing it somewhere else would work too if I'd have a long train track or monorail running in parallel with the equator, and a carriage with the wheels secured on the underside of the rail.

Then again, the oceans might just spoil it for anyone on one of the continents, so the poles would be the safest option.

This sums up a lot of the problems in American society today. Most people would react like Bruno to this situation but a small minority will go the other way and sue. But instead of putting down the minority we cater to them and make society as a whole change to fit them.

While I don't support whole sale bans on anything in public schools, unless something is illegal, I do agree with systems like Trimmy has set up for his daughter. As long as these things are done in a reasonable way I see no problem with doing them.

Also as In the case with Birnando I believe most people given the opportunity to voluntarily do something in this case remove peanut products will do it in order to keep a child safe.

However on the flip side of it there are people that ether can't afford to do so. As peanut products may be the only source of protein that is cheap enough to give there child everyday or have children with special needs of there own that will only eat certain foods and peanut products give them nutrients and protein they need.

The problem with whole sale bans is that by trying to accommodate one you typically discriminate against another. It's just the way the world is there is no black and white just gray.

I understand completly what you are saying Bruno, I remember a the "Discussion" that my Mom and Dad had when I wanted to play Hockey in High School...

My Mother was dead set against it and actually never saw me play, my Father however won that battle, and watched every game he could make..

What made no sense was that Mom had no problem with my martial arts, her problem was with the "School" being in charge of my safety, she did not trust them to be responsible for each individual...

This is where my thought process comes from here too, the public school system is designed around the 99%, not the individual, I would be very leary of putting my child in there if they were not among that 99%...
In this thread the 99% are not allergic to peanuts therefore the safety of the 1% is suspect and always will be...

With a "Ban on Peanut Products" the onus of safety now is put on other people, rather then where that mantle belongs which is squarely on the shoulders of the parents..

Sometimes you can find a good commond ground on some iusses and sometimes leaders go over board. The very food that is to help us, now is by western standards being process for ease of storage and selling, is now killing us. I think just like our tobacco has been changed our food has been changed, not just hybride plants for looks and size, but the content. I was told by my Doctor that I had Gallstones and that I would have to have the stones removed. That sounded ok until the Doctor told me that to remove the gallstones they remove the Gallblader. I didn't want some doctor cutting me up unless is was absolute I had to have the operation. What I did was a liver and gallbaldder cleanse, and the stones came out by themselfs. sometimes we can heal ourselfs by using the different foods and herbs that God has created. A Dr. Weil thinks the same way sometimes you can change your diet and heal your body! how about that, the Lord Jesus who is our creator and God, can heal you, or a doctor can, or sometimes the foods we put into our bodies can help us or hurt us. Sometimes it is best to keep an eye on your own kids at home through home schooling, that is an alternative.

Yes but compare that to any meat product and see how much longer the PB last.

I don't know, my mom could slice meat awfully thin.

There was a short period, about 4 years in my youth, when money was tight in the family. I was about 11 years old. We got mayo sandwiches for lunch most of the time. the first time I saw one , I lifted the bread and couldn't find the meat. I asked my mom, "What kind of sandwich is this?" She said, "It can be whatever sandwich you want it to be, just be glad you got it!".

I would have beat up the neighbor boy for a PB&J back then.

Yet another illustration of the dangers of peanut butter sandwiches...
