can wait to hear your stories!
You want physically demanding? try hunting chuckers in the ruby mtns,Nev.
They congrigate on steep hillsides, you walk up the hill, get within 60 yrds, and they all get up and fly uphill 60 yrds,This crap go's on all day. They are never in range,Hell I was packing a Browning Lgt 20 O.U. with # 7 shot, had I known how these creatures were,I would have brought my heavy 3 in.win mod.12 duck gun with # 2 shot, never fired a shot on my one and only chucker hunt
I hope more people will post their Hunting/Fishing/Camping stories on here

It's hard for me to hunt because it's through my friends or uncle's good graces to take me to the property they have permission to hunt on. Otherwise I'd be out three times a week. Every Thanksgiving week I head on down to the mountains of Bath County Virginia to my uncle's Hunting camp for rifle season, and I'm very much looking forward to it. I'm heading out tomorrow for a bow hunt, and with God willing, I'll have some story to share here then. Good Luck to all of SRP's hunters this season.-J
I'm heading out tomorrow afternoon for opening day of Muzzle Loader season.
If you're having a hard time finding.places to hunt and can tolerate public land all the National Forests here in VA are open to hunting. Other than the rare occasion a friend brings me to hung private land they have permission to hunt on most of my hunting is done in the GWNF.
Plus you lucky folks in VA have an urban archery season in some municipalities.

mine was made between 83-89 the only yrs they produced the sportman 76, not much of a demand for the plain jane gun but she shoots good so it makes me happy . the year i started hunting my uncle stopped one night on his way home from driving truck and bough the only rifle he had enough cash to pick up for me 5 days before hunting season as a surprise so she will stay with me forever.

I got my 760 when a relative passed away in 1991 and the family had an estate sale for family only in Johnstown.

BTW made venison medallions last night and venison chili tonight, the wife and little one loved it

My uncle and cousin took me to their property this morning for some bow hunting. None of us saw any deer. With God's will, I and my cousin will do an all day hunt on the same stands tomorrow in a last (as in I don't know when I'll get to go again) attempt to put some deer in the fridge. Wish me and Chris much Luck.

I am sad to say I saw no deer today either. But it was on of the most fun and beautiful days Virginia has offered me in a long time. Great hunt!
