    That was my experience last weekend. Hiked 8 miles up and down the mountains and had a grand old time. Saw lots of hoofprints but no deer.

    No ducks today,sat in a cold muddy concrete barrel for 10 hrs,never popped a cap
    enjoyable day tho

    watching the sky,took a nap,got rid of the dead muskrat in my barrel,baled some water,drank coffee,ate the liverworst sanny the old sqauw made for me.
    Just the usual stuff you do in a duck blind.

    Just got the good news I don't have to wait till February...Got drawn with my Father in law for the January Javelina archery hunt redemption will be mine!

    How do you like the carbon arrows? I have only ever used aluminum

    That is a Mission Riot from Mathew's Archery. Great bow for the buck/buck. Adjustable draw length and weight with no press needed. I don't count poundage, but if I were to, I think somewhere around 57 lbs just now. 7" brace height. 31" ATA. Carbon arrows are to aluminum, as are disposables are to a straight blade. They have changed the game entirely.
    My set up:
    27" draw length
    Whisker Biscut Rest
    Viper 4 pin sight
    Gold tip arrows. 8.2 grains per inch
    100 grain Slick Trick Standard broadheads.
