Professional sports are MEANT to be entertainment through competition between the best. If prefer watching entertainment you'd be better off watching "the real world" or "real housewives of....." or some crap like that.

In the meantime, Rasmussen has confessed to doping use during most of his career.
He admitted everything, and named names and numbers. That's a confession that the WADA can work with

I don't believe that professional athletes are the best. They might have been born to the right parents, know the right people, have the most money, the best equipment and/or were in the right place at the right time.
Pick any popular sport. Millions play them. If they were truefully the best, number 100 should be able to beat number one 50% of the time depending on which way the wind blew or where the pebble was on the track.

The guy of which we bought our house has a daughter who plays tennis. Or at least she did then. And she was really good. Won local tournaments etc. But he did not have the money to let her train to her full potential because that is very expensive. I am not saying she might have become a top 10 player, but she could easily have become a sub-top player if she had had enough financial backing to get there.
Not saying you can't get to the top with a lucky break. Some people still do. But more often than not, the ones who do are the ones who are financially independent enough to concentrate on developing their potentialTil shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.
