Yes, I bet most of the world is watching on CNN. A lot of hardware for just 2 guys.

A few minutes after the photos were shown, it appears that a lone MIT officer came across one of them & was disarmed & killed. They left their stash, tried to flee, got locked down in the city. Mulitple I.E.D's are being detonated by bomd squads on the scene.

No doubt that the seizing of their stash prevented further death somewhere down the line; hated to see another person die(MIT officer) to get it though.

US journalism as a whole took a lot of heat over the bombings for all the speculations and false accusations, and on CBS this morning they seemed to be noticeably more careful about their words when discussing the recent shootout.

I believe that one of the two suspects was killed and the other is still at large as of this time. Reports have posted the remaining suspect's name and the two of them are believed to be Chechen brothers who moved the US about ten years ago (BBC News source).

In Afghanistan, Iraq, Chechnya they don't have the video surveillance we have on city streets, shopping centers, schools and the like. Those guys could have remained anonymous. They didn't count on the video feeds IDing them. One down and one to go. I only hope he is DOA. I'd hate to see him get to live a long life behind bars, or any other way.
