While I agree with your sentiment, I hope that at least the next of kin will get closure, one way or another.
If both are dead, and they left no trace of information about what led to this tragedy, the survivors will have a more difficult time coping. Because even though the reason will be stupid or misguided or whatever, at least they won't be wondering for the rest of their lives why their child or spouse got killed.

Me neither, but the surviving family might want to get the closure they might not get if there is noone left to answer questions.

Apparently, the 2 are chechen brothers who hate Russia and fled to the US. A bit strange they'd turn against the US.

A ton of scary images coming out of Boston. Fully armored and equipped police patrolling through Watertown.

Our foreign policy has long been a source of resentment around he world. Since they are chechen I would think their religious beliefs would have more to do with the action than political considerations. I'm sure that as soon as they were identified the authorities are all over their homes, family and are going through their computers, cell phones, looking for associates.

BOSTON (CBS) – The uncle of the two men suspected in the Boston Marathon bombings says they had lived together in Cambridge for about a decade.

WBZ-TV spoke with the suspects’ uncle, Ruslan Tsarni.

Tsarni says Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev immigrated to the United States around 2000 or 2001, and have lived at the same Cambridge address since that time.

According to Tsarni, Dzhokhar completed high school in Cambridge and was attending college somewhere outside of Boston.

Tsarni, who says he hasn’t been in touch with the brothers since around 2009, tells WBZ-TV he believes that the brothers’ parents may have moved back to Russia.

He described Tamerlan as a “loser.”

Tsarni was shocked when he was informed of the unfolding situation that left Tamerlan Tsarnaev dead in a shootout.

“He deserved his. He absolutely deserved his,” Tsarni said. “They do not deserve to live on this earth.”

Poor Mr. Axelrod.....Salon Magazine. They wanted so badly to lay this problem at the foot of some conservative white group that they were losing sight of the fact that this is deplorable no matter who it came from. It makes me wonder if today they are mourning the dead or the death of their twisted hopes regarding the criminals behind this. They couldn't see the criminal nature in this, only an axe to grind.
