Sorry Ed! As you said hammered..... The examples I have held like it were smooth. Patterns molded into the scales!

Thank you, My Friend! As from a running horse, it looks great. Blade and scales were pretty battered.
YOU know about a pile of rubbing, I know. It had to have some scars and wear left, no other way!

Good work! Beautiful scales! I have read and exalted me, many thinks for Robeson history and his progressive technology and also i have some knives and 2 razors. But I have not honed yet and my questions (before srp signing) is: shaves well? It is somenthing special or not? Now take some answers... I think I will like their shaving.

Well you just made me have to drag out my Robeson’s and have a look. Out of 13 none have that grind. 3 are the “razor that fits your face.” One has gold plated tang. Several are hammered.

But the other I drug out also happens to be a Cataraugus covered tang with that grind. I know I have others just no time to sift through them all.

Mark, George Korn had the patent. And was quite 'close' to Champlin of Cattaraugus.

Definitely explains how we see Cattaraugus razors with it.

It would not be unreasonable to think the Robison version came from Korn as well.
It is said he made more razors with other's names upon them than his own.

Thanks. But what caught my eye was voidmonster’s razor too being a Cataraugus . Fascinating stuff.!
