Nice work Dion. How many hours do you reckon you put into it?

    Thanks mate,
Not totally sure as I was doing other things at the same time when forging & heat treating and also I took it rather steady on this one but would have to say an easy 20 or so direct hours from bar stock to honed.
I think i should be running half that time if I had my technique down pat.
That or I'm unrealistic with my expectations LOL

This is not including the the first one I started that is now closer to a 6/8", but we won't talk about that 10 hours of one slip and 8/8" becomes 13/16", not a total loss yet.

Still, twenty hours isn't bad considering the quality of the finish you've got on it and all the fancy filework.

I keep forgetting to take pics while I'm forging, even though my phone is playing music in the shed
I just get side tracked especially if I have a coupe going at once
